Start with the listing you actually mean
A useful AllChinaBuy product link should lead you back to one identifiable seller listing. That sounds simple until a spreadsheet title, a copied shopping-agent address and a screenshot all describe the same item differently. Before comparing prices, establish which original listing you are considering. Keep its address alongside the product name and the option you want. A familiar photo alone cannot establish that two links represent the same item, seller or available variant.
This guide explains a practical way to read and preserve product references. It does not confirm that a seller is reliable or that an order can currently be placed. AllChinaBuy's official website displayed a maintenance notice when reviewed on 24 October 2026. Check the current official status before treating an old purchase link as an available checkout route. You can still organize your research while availability remains uncertain.
Separate the three addresses in your browsing journey
You may encounter a directory page, an original marketplace listing and a shopping-agent purchase page. Each serves a different purpose. The directory helps you find and compare an item. The original listing identifies the seller's offer. The shopping-agent page is a separate service interface through which you may review or request a purchase when that service is available. Saving only the last address can make it difficult to recover the underlying product later.
Keep the directory reference for returning to your research and the original marketplace address for identifying the offer. Record the marketplace name as well: a long number copied without context is a weak reference. When you move between these addresses, compare the displayed item, seller and chosen option. A change of interface should not silently become a change of product. Stop if the destination no longer matches the listing you intended.
Read marketplace names before reading item numbers
Weidian, Taobao and 1688 are marketplace names, not interchangeable labels for one universal product catalogue. First establish the actual destination hostname. Then examine the listing path and the identifying parameters. Do not assume that a number taken from one marketplace will find the same product on another. Even matching-looking photographs do not establish a relationship between two listings. Your comparison should retain the marketplace and full source address, rather than relying on a bare numeric identifier.
A product address can also contain information about a selected option or the way a link was shared. Preserve the original address before attempting to simplify it. If a shortened link or an app share message hides the destination, treat the reference as unresolved until you can inspect the resulting listing through the normal interface. Do not enter account details into an unfamiliar page merely because its title contains AllChinaBuy or the name of a marketplace.
Understand the difference between a directory ID and a product ID
A directory can assign its own record number to a product. That number identifies a page inside the directory; it is not automatically the seller's marketplace item number. In the source example used for this site, record 6681 corresponds to the Weidian item 7755101935. The difference matters when opening a purchase link: replacing the marketplace item number with the directory record would identify something else or produce an error. Preserve both values if you need a reference that can be checked later.
The readable marketplace address in that example is https://weidian.com/item.html?itemId=7755101935. Its purpose here is to demonstrate a reference, not to recommend that item. The value following itemId belongs to the original marketplace listing. A directory's shorter record number belongs in your browsing notes. When two pages disagree, return to the full source address and verify the displayed offer rather than guessing which number should be used.
Keep the exact option attached to the link
A listing reference does not necessarily preserve every choice you made. One listing may show several colours, sizes, bundles or versions, while its main photograph represents only one of them. Record the exact option label and any relevant measurements separately. If you save a screenshot, capture enough context to connect the selected option to the listing; a cropped picture of a colour swatch is rarely sufficient. Keep uncertainty visible when the page does not provide a clear option description.
Before continuing from a purchase page, select the intended option again and compare it with your notes. Do not infer material, included accessories or dimensions from the title alone. If an option changes the price, compare that selected-option price rather than the lowest number shown on the listing. Where the information is incomplete, your next step is to resolve the missing detail through the current official interface, not to fill the gap with an assumption.
Recognize a wrapped or encoded product address
Some shopping interfaces carry the original marketplace address inside another address. The outer page opens the service; an inner value describes the seller listing. Characters such as a question mark or an ampersand may appear in an encoded form so that the inner address remains intact. This is a formatting detail, not evidence that the item has been inspected. A link converter can change an address into a format another interface accepts, but that alone cannot establish stock, seller identity or product quality.
For everyday browsing, retain the complete link supplied by the product page rather than editing it by hand. Check the item that appears at the destination. If you need to compare two saved references, compare their original marketplace destination and exact option, not just their outer shopping-service address. Avoid repeatedly copying a link between unrelated converter sites when the original listing is already available; each extra transformation makes mistakes harder to trace.
Handle unavailable and mismatched links systematically
An unavailable page can have several causes: a temporary service interruption, a changed listing, an access requirement or a malformed address. The error alone does not tell you which explanation applies. First check whether the wider official service is available. Then compare your saved source address with the one supplied on the product detail page. Look for missing characters or a different identifier, but keep the original saved version so that your attempts remain traceable.
If a page opens a different product, stop using that reference until you resolve the mismatch. Do not substitute a visually similar listing and assume its price, options or photographs are equivalent. Mark the shortlist entry as needing verification and record what changed. A redirect, a blank result or an old screenshot is not confirmation that an item is in stock. When an account-specific issue is involved, use official support rather than sending order identifiers to a directory site.
Compare like with like across your saved references
Before deciding that one link is cheaper, align the details you are comparing. Check marketplace, seller listing, chosen option, quantity and the date on which you recorded the price. Separate the displayed item price from other possible cost components. An estimated USD conversion is useful for browsing, but it is not a promise about the eventual charge. A comparison based on different quantities or options can make an expensive choice appear cheaper than a relevant alternative.
Photos need the same discipline. Label seller-gallery images as seller images and keep any independently identified inspection references separate. Neither a purchase URL nor an attractive gallery establishes that a particular unit has passed quality control. On this preview, independently verified QC and visual-search feeds are not established. Use the available listing information honestly, and keep questions about condition, sizing or fulfillment unresolved until suitable evidence answers them.
Use a repeatable final link check
A short final review is more effective than reopening dozens of unrelated tabs. Read the product name, marketplace and full original address together. Match the intended option to your notes. Recheck the currently displayed price and identify anything that remains unknown. Confirm that the destination belongs to the service you intended to visit. Only then consider the next action, taking account of the official platform's current availability rather than an old tutorial or previously working bookmark.
Keep a small record of the outcome: ready for further review, needs an option check, unavailable or rejected. Add a date and one concrete reason. This makes your saved links useful when you return a week later. The aim is not to collect the largest possible list of addresses. It is to preserve a small set of understandable product references, each with the correct origin, the right option and a clear explanation of what still needs checking.
